Morgan started gymnastics a few weeks ago. She really likes it and her best friend Marcus is in her class which is nice. It looks like lots of fun!

Morgan also got to go ice skating for the first time with school recently. I thought that was a pretty ambitious field trip for a bunch of 4 and 5-year olds! Jon went with Morgan and said she did pretty good. She definitely liked it. Maybe we should put her in hockey!

Morgan's basketball class finished up last week. She LOVES basketball. On the last class, they did a little game. Or "game" might be a better way to put it. The "game" finished with the unlikely score of 6-0 and Morgan scored all of the points. She is very agressive and competitive on the court. If she gets a little taller and learns not to steal the ball from her teammates she could be a superstar!

Forget the inauguration; the party to be at this month was Morgan's dragon-and-basketball themed 5th birthday party! Eight of her closest friends came to celebrate with her and the party went very smoothly. Thank goodness for Round Table Pizza and their free (with $50 food purchase, of course) party rooms and indoor playground! Also, hooray for Safeway and their cupcake dragon cake! (Although, boo to them for running out of white cupcakes!!!) The kids all seemed to have a wonderful time. Jon & I were exhausted by the end and think we'll have recovered enough for another party by the time Morgan is 10!

Morgan's basketball coach asked all the kids to name their favorite superhero. Superman was a popular answer. So were Batman and Spiderman. Morgan's favorite superhero?

Super Morgan!

Super Morgan's superpowers are riding a two-wheeler, snorkeling, playing basketball and soccer, singing, making friends, annoying her brother, reading (almost), and being the greatest FIVE-year-old we know.

Happy Birthday, Supergirl!

So much for my new years resolution to blog more...

Its January 5 and I'm just getting the Christmas pictures up. We had a great Christmas visiting all the grandparents! Zachary was articulary cute this year and helped everyone open their presents. And the kids must have been very good last year because Santa came through big-time!
