We'll be in Puerto Vallarta on Halloween so we took the kids to Gilroy Gardens this weekend for a Halloween treasure hunt. Zach had no costume. We're bringing his train engineer overalls and hat on the trip with us. Morgan is a Princess-Pirate-Knight. The knight part doesn't work out so well because its not very convenient to carry a 24 inch bejewled plastic sword around everywhere. If you look closely you can see her pirate medalion.
Gil (aka Mr. Garlic-Man) dresses up as a pirate too!
Trick or Treat!
A pumpkin for my pumpkin!
We leave on our cruise tomorrow and won't be back until Nov 4. As Zach says: "Bye-bye, Alligators!"
Less than two weeks ago, we decided it was time to try potty training Zachary. I wasn't optimistic, but I had to give it a shot. I have come to HATE changing diapers. And also, we booked a cruise for the end of the month and I'd love not to have to deal with diapers all day.
The first day Zach peed an equal number of times on the floor as in the potty.
The second day, he peed in the potty twice as many times as on the floor.
The third day he only peed on the floor once, pooped in the potty, and even used the toilet at the grocery store.
The fourth day he told us when he had to poo.
By the fifth day he was telling us every time he needed to go and he hasn't had an accident since. (Other than accidents caused by poor aim, but what can you do.)
So we are down to just diapers at night! YAY!!!!!! We even broke down our changing table set-up today. There is so much more space in our bedroom now! And I feel like I have so much free time now that I don't have to wash diapers every 3rd day!
Zachary is very proud of himself and loves his new big boy pants.
