Zachary's new favorite part of the playground is the drinking fountain. Forget about the slide, the swings, the jungle gym, even the sand! The drinking fountain is where its at. He spent half an hour the other day dragging back to the drinking fountain so I could lift him up and let him splash water all over himself. Eventually I had to get firm and tell him that was enough. "That is enough, Zachary! Enough!"

So now he calls a drinking fountain a 'nuff.

"Mommy! 'Nuff, please! More 'nuff!"

Also, new haircut!

Morgan vs. The Volcano

Morgan has been learning about volcanos this week. Its a nice change from her interest in earthquakes because we can assure her very sincerely that there are no volcanos where we live and that there will be no eruptions near our house. So far she's only had a couple of volcano nightmares (as opposed to countless earthquake nightmares). Even though its kind of scary to her, she wants to keep reading her volcano books and looking at volcano pictures, so we decided to make our own volcano!

We decide to take advantage of some great weather and spend the weekend sightseeing in Sacramento!
The kids were most excited about staying in a hotel. Because they found notebooks in the room!

And Zachary wasted no time ordering room service.

They also had a great time at the train museum. This was a really cool museum - just as fun and interesting for grown ups as it was for the kids. Zachary didn't stop running the whole time we were there. He would dart from engine to engine yelling "Choo-choo! Choo-choo!".

And Fairytale Town was great too!

Sutter's Fort was pretty dull for the kids, but at least they had a chance to get dirty!
