Well, Morgan seems to have gotten through her first cold of the season relatively easily. (Though her eyes were a bit puffy today. We'll have to watch that.) It was a bad one on Tuesday and Wednesday. She had a nasty cough and congested head. She kept choking on her snot. GROSS! But she was way better on Thursday and continues to improve. Being able to blow her nose (finally!) makes a huge difference!

I will probably be retiring Morgan's Word List at the end of the month. She is talking so much now that I just can't keep track of all her new words! She repeats almost everything we say. On Saturday, Jon described the mall as a "nut house" and Morgan sang the rest of the way home "nut house! nut house!". We've really got to be careful now about what types of things we say!!! She also learned "Mis-mis" - Christmas - from somewhere. We haven't really been talking about it much and I doubt they are learning about it in school yet. But we went down to "Holiday Lights at the Beach" and she pointed out the window and yelled "Mis-mis". Very smart, that girl. That was before, of course, she decided that she was scared of the lights and cried the whole way down the boardwalk. Oh well. Sometime this week I will try to get a video of Morgan "dobble"-ing like a turkey, so check back often.
HAVE A HAPPY THANKSGIVING!!!

Morgan got her flu shot this morning. It wasn't as bad as I thought it would be. I took her down to the clinic last Thursday, too, and she got hysterical as soon as we pulled into the parking lot. She was sobbing "no ears!" because she hates when the doctors look in her ears. But we got there 20 minutes after they opened and were #87 so we just left - I wasn't going to wait 2 hours with a screaming baby. But today she was fine. She was a little worried when she saw the nurses, and of course she cried when they gave her the actual shot, but she recovered as soon as I gave her a sheet of "choo-choo" stickers. I was very proud of her for being so brave.

Hi! Morgan here. Mom and Dad took me to Sesame Street Live last night. I have never sat through a more terrifying 30 seconds in my entire life!!!I thought Halloween was over! This was worse than swimming! Worse than goats! Worse than school! As bad as IMAX! There was loud music, and flashing lights, and lots of people. Why would anyone go to this voluntarily???? I heard that the show lasted an hour! What torture! I guess it was nice to see Elmo in person. I was looking forward to that. He dances better than you might expect. And it was wierd that all of the Sesame monsters were the same size. I thought Cookie Monster would be a lot bigger than Elmo, but he wasn't. Anyway, it was scary and awful and I told Mommy and Daddy to take me home right away, which they did. From now on, I will just watch Elmo on TV the way it is supposed to be!
