Yep, you read that right. Morgan went pee-pee in the POTTY on Monday! We thought she was just faking us again. We were eating dinner and making her stay in her seat until we were finished when she started asking for the "boppy". I'm sure she was just using it as a clever way to escape the dinner table, but we took her to the potty anyway.
We tried to think of ways to encourage her to use the potty. We thought about turing on the faucet, but she really has no reason to associate the sound of running water with the potty so that probably wouldn't work. Then Jon suggested dunking her hands in warm water. I thought that was just a urban myth and slumber party prank. But Jon really wanted to try it so he filled a bowl with lukewarm water and had Morgan "wash" her hands while sitting on her potty.
Until about 5 minutes later when she pee-peed in the potty! Morgan looked very surprised and gave us a "is this what you guys are all excited about" look. We told Morgan how proud we were of her and even offered her a sticker. But all she wanted was to wash her hands. Again. And again. In a bowl. While sitting on the potty.
I guess its a good thing that the only reward she wants is to wash her hands. Such good hygiene! But I am afraid thata bowl of water will now be demanded on all future potty excursions.
